Spicy Tuna

We are incredibly lucky to not only fish for yellow fin tuna but also blue fin tuna. Typically this recipie is made with yellow fin but if you clean your own fish, this is a great way to use the rib meat of either kind of tuna. There is nothing wrong with making this chunky by dicing up tuna as well.

Tools:

  • Chef Knife and Cutting Board

  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb of Tuna (Yellow Fin or Blue Fin)

  • Roma Tomato (seeded and finely diced)

  • 2 Green Onions (cut off ends and dice)

  • Purple Onion ( 1/6 finely diced)

  • Kewpie Mayonnaise ( you can use regular mayo but skip the miracle whip) to taste

  • Ponzu Sauce (2-3 tbsp)

  • Sriracha (4-5 tbsp or to taste)

How To:

  1. Mince up tuna (or dice) and place in a mxing bowl.

  2. Add in tomato, green onion, purple onion, mayonnaise, ponzu, and sriracha.

  3. Place in the refrigerator to chill.

  4. Serve in a hand roll, on a friend wonton or crispy rice.
